Michelle + Sean | Bolton/Boylston MA Engagement Photography

I always encourage my couples to help me create really personal engagement images for them by going somewhere or doing something that is meaningful to them or that reflects them as a couple. Michelle and Sean did an awesome job of taking this advice by planning a camping themed engagement session because camping is one of their favorite things to do together. We started out with photos of the two of them in an apple orchard with their two dogs because these dogs are a huge and important part of their lives. (Michelle has had Brandy for over 14 years and her and Sean rescued Austin from a shelter together.) So now Michelle and Sean have lovely engagement photos that really reflect who they are as a couple! I couldn’t help but tell these two how adorable they were about a million times throughout the shoot (OK, and also during the editing process), they were probably sick of hearing it by the end of the evening. And yes, they really are this cute and lovey with each other in real life! I know this because they are good friends of mine. <3

Sample Wedding Guest Album Featuring Anne + John’s Engagement Images

When I was putting together Anne & John’s Wedding Day Guest Album from their engagement images I decided that their album would make a great sample album for my studio. So I put all of my favorite images into the spreads from their album and chose the Riverdell cover from the Middle Earth Collection, and here it is! I really like this fun and bright cover! It is a similar color to that of the cover that Mariann and David chose for their Guest Album only the textured pattern on this one is a bit larger, more spread out and less scaly looking than the Serpentine cover. They are both beautiful covers. I just love all the cover options that my lovely album vendor offers!

This is Anne + John’s Wedding Day Guest Album created with their engagement images. They chose the Smokey Mountain cover option from the Middle Earth Collection. I just gave them their Guest Album at our wedding timeline meeting the other day, I think they really liked it! I hope their guests at their upcoming May 18th wedding enjoy seeing some adorable engagement images while they sign the guest album!

When Shannon and Sean described the type of engagement session they wanted I was thrilled because big open fields, cowboy boots and mason jar sangria with diy chalk labels are all right up my alley. File Cabinet Makeover!

With beautiful weather comes desire to be outdoors, so today I took a little break from my everyday office tasks and spent some time outside in the sun giving my file cabinet (purchased at a consignment shop for $7!) a much needed makeover! So now all your client files have a pretty home!

I took the file cabinet over to my mom’s shop, Counting Sheep Antiques, where she let me borrow some of her fabulous Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and I went to town painting. I used the French Linen and Old White paint colors to create this look. Do you like it? It certainly spruces up my work space a bit more!

So March seems to be the month of features and getting published! SMP was first featured on a couple pages of Bliss Celebrations Magazine’s Annual Issue which was out on newsstands in March and has now also been published in Town & Country’s March Issue! It is so exciting to be able to walk into a bookstore and see my work on the shelves. I am so grateful to the girls at Town & Country for putting this together and to our bride, Victoria, for helping make it happen!

This is Kelly & Nick’s wedding at Gedney Farm in New Marlborough, MA. I shot this wedding in 2010 so it had not made it up on this new blog until now.

Kate + Kelly’s Wedding Album | 10×14 Wedding Album with “Truffle” Leather Cover

Because I think that these wedding albums are such an amazing final product from your wedding day I just love sharing samples with you all here on the blog! All of my albums are custom designed by myself and then sent to the lab where they are handmade by my lovely green-friendly vendor! These albums really are gorgeous and are built to last and to be shared with generations to come. The cover on this lovely album is called “Truffle” (from the Fragments collection of cover choices) and it has quite a lovely texture to it. It features two tones of rich brown leather and a beautifully raised design. I just Love it! Who else loves this cover choice?!
